My friend brought an old laptop with a Celeron processor with 256MB of RAM and he wants fluxbuntu. Is the fluxbuntu installer similar to that of xubuntu/ubuntu? Or should I install xubuntu + fluxbox on his laptop. He has WinXP + Kubuntu Feisty installed. He wants to remove Kubuntu but wants his Windows to be there int 1f40 act. Can the fluxbuntu installer successfully do this?

I would be disinclined to install Xubuntu plus Fluxbox.

A Fluxbuntu installation process goes through much the same as a command line install of Ubuntu. It gives you a lightweight system which would probably be okay on the computer you describe. It would probably be worth a try. I have had it on a multi-boot system with no problems.
